I’m Geoffrey Liau, an international multi award winning wedding and portrait photographer based in Perth, Western Australia. I’m married, have a lovely wife and two beautiful children.
Photography has always been my passion and is steadily growing everyday. I’ve always liked a good wedding but never thought I’ll ended up as a wedding photographer. I’ve actually started shooting weddings only after my own wedding which gave me the confidence on what a wedding photographer needs to focus on and since then I fell in love with it and never looked back.
Why wedding photography? What draws me to wedding photography is the opportunity to capture a diverse tapestry of life. I find joy in photographing a blend of elements that surround me—be it the beauty of landscapes, the vibrancy of people, the genuine laughter, joy, and timeless moments that unfold. There’s a profound satisfaction in capturing the genuine connection and love shared between two individuals. Additionally, I am passionate about crafting beautiful and creative portraits. Wedding photography encompasses all these facets, making it a perfect fit for my passion and allowing me to create visual narratives that resonate with the depth of human emotions and connections.
My style of shooting is a combination of photojournalism and creative portraiture. As far as I love capturing the natural expressions and genuine emotion, I will always strive to create some creative portraits that are non traditional for my couples.
When i’m not shooting weddings, I love travelling, playing soccer, playing the guitar, taking photos of my kids, street photography and of course instagramming with my reliable iPhone. 🙂

Addition to that I’m also holding an Associate status for both AIPP and WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International). Both of these associations are considered as world class in the photography industry and in order to achieve an associate title or higher, one has to compete in the annual print competition and images will be judged by amongst the best in the industry. I’m proud to be part of these professional associations as it enables me to raise my bar and be more creative to deliver the best for my clients!
